According to practitioners, the central aim of Pilates is to attempt to create a fusion of mind and body, so that without thinking about it the body will move with economy, grace, and balance.
Mat based classes concentrating on developing core strength and stability. Pilates provides a holistic approach to exercise which can dramatically improve your posture and appearance, relieve back pain, reduce stress and enhance your well being.
Pilates classes are currently on hold but I hope to resume a timetable at some point in the future. However, if you are interested in either one-on-one sessions or pilates in your workplace please call me directly.
What class should I go to?
Suitable for all levels of fitness. All movements progress gradually from a beginners level through to an intermediate/advanced level, therefore giving the individual the ability to tailor the class to suit their own goals.
Ideal for those who are completely new to Pilates, those recovering from injury or those with limited ability. This level of class will introduce you to the technique of Pilates with gentle moves that are ideal for newcomers.
Pilates experience required. Completion of a beginners course or minimum six weeks of attending beginners level classes.
